Types of scholarships and what is needed to apply for them



Scholarships are considered as an important step to enhance the Student academic experience, and refine his skills. And they are an urgent need for any student, because of the high cost of the study compared with the self expense of the person. That is why most of the students are looking for scholarships in order to pursue their education.

Types of scholarships

 
- Full-Scholarship:
 It is a full scholarship and who are  eligible for, is varied from grant to another, but often this type of grants covering the studying fees, living, travel and residence in the host country.

- Assistantship:
They often serve students of the Postgraduate, for example, the scholarship opportunity is for students who could teach at the university or doing researches and that is instead of the expenses that will be provided by the university, and these are often funded by the university that is the host.

- Fellowship:
Awarded often either from universities or relevant specialized institutions, for example, grants for students from Reuters Media Institute. They usually require a qualified and high efficiency as well.

Papers and documents that are necessary for any scholarship:

You are in fact unable to inventory the entire requirements in one form, because the topic varies from scholarship to another. But there is an agreed protocol of requirements and they may increases or decreases:

 

A- Undergraduate:

1Passport.
2 - Language qualification or sometimes, SAT exam is enough.
3- High school diploma with scores.
4 - CV or Cover letter.
5- Motivation Messages (recommendations).
6- In the case was a student at the university and is not Freshman It is preferred to provide transcript of the studied semesters.

B- Master:

1- Passport.
2- Language qualification (TOEFL -IBT or IELTS).
3- High school diploma with scores.
4 - CV or cover letter.
5. Motivation Messages (recommendations)
6-  graduate certificate and the transcript of  years of study.

C- PhD:

1- passport:
2- Language qualification (TOEFL -IBT or IELTS).
3- High school diploma with scores.
4 - CV or cover letter.
5. Motivation Messages (recommendations)
6- Graduate certificate and master's certificate and the transcript of years of study.
7- A draft shows the thesis proposed and Subject of Study. (Proposal)
8- It is preferred having some research papers published in the universities, conferences,
internationally attributed magazine.
